About Us

We catch big fish because we know how and because we love it.  Subscribe to Sick Fishing Weekly for our family friendly enewsletter, coming to you live every Thursday, curating the best links, photos, videos, articles, and blogs that we find online each week.

Sick Fishing is run and organized by Blaise and Ryan Coghlan, two brothers living and fishing in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. Someday before we go to college, we’d like to own a bait and tackle shop to support our tuition. Someday after college, we’d like to own a couple of big boats and a charter service because, eh, that would be totally sick. Of course, Mom would like us to be “professional,” (like doctors or lawyers) but we’re just sayin’.

We were taught to fish by our two Uncles and our Pop. Uncle Dan is a real sick fisher. He has a boat that he docks in Wildwood, NJ and can be found in bays, oceans, streams, lakes, and rivers throughout the year.  In May 2010, Uncle Dan won a very famous fishing contest with a big prize.  Someday, we’d like to do that too!  Uncle Jim is a sick guitarist.  Really.

If you need to chat with Blaise and Ryan about our website, particularly if you are a big wig producer from some ESPN fishing tv show and would like to hire us as hosts, please send an email to blaisecoghlan at gmail dot com.

Or better yet, just subscribe to our Sick Fishing Weekly Enewsletter.  It’s pretty darn simple…Subscribe to Sick Fishing Weekly.
