The Coolest Fishing T-Shirt Ever, People
Ta-da! After months of product development (that means talking to our fishing buds and emailing a few professional designers, and eh, asking our kinda smart mom for a little help), my brother and I have come up with the ultimate fishing t-shirt for folks who love to fish in and around Philly, PA! This awesome t-shirt represents the three major fishing waters within Philadelphia county - The Schuylkill River, the Delaware River, and the Wissahickon Creek. Please please consider buying this shirt to show your love of fishing in Philly - It's a super cool shirt, it supports a good cause (our designated charity, Cross International), and c'mon give us some credit - we're kids and we came up with this all by ourselves. We thought up the design, we found the artist, we got a partner, and we're supporting a charity. Help us prove to our Mom that fishing really is a worthwhile effort and a killer good use of our time.
To see our shirts, just click on the image below. Thanks in advance for your loyal support of www.sickfishing.com. We love our blog visitors, and we especially love our blog commenters ;) So comment yo.

Canada 2011
Better late than never and we apologize for the wait, but we hope it's worth it. Here's some shots from our Annual Coghlan Fishing Trip to Canada from way back in June of 2011. Enjoy (and hey, feel free to comment!)

Join the Sick Fishing Hangout on Google+
So I think most of you know my mom, Shannon, helps me with this whole Sick Fishing thing, since I'm 13 (eh) and technically just became old enough to use things like Facebook (I don't though) and Twitter (well, I've been using that for a while now so anyway)... Google+ says you have to be 18 and my mom oversees everything I do online anyway, so to make a long story short...
My mom is currently teaching me to use Google+ (through her account) and I created a Sick Fishing page today! I'd love to get some fishermen/fisherwomen/fisherkids into my Sick Fishing Hangout so we can share photos, videos, stories, and all kinds of other great fishing stuff!
Furthermore, I'm trying to show my teachers that school should be about more than just memorization and history from hundreds of years ago. If we had classes on web development and social networking, I might actually be a Straight A student! Can you help me out here, by joining my Sick Fishing Page on Google+? You'll help me prove to my teachers that my Sick Fishing project has some merit! And better yet, don't forget I'm doing the little bit I can to support Cross International, my designated charity.
So I can't quite figure out how to get a good link to my new Sick Fishing Google+ page, but I think this might work -- https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/114626116544997850938/#114626116544997850938/posts
And if you have suggestions on good ways to use Google+, please feel free to share those with me!
Oh and because she helps me so much with this website, here's a picture of my pretty cool Mom! (She's eating oysters, of course)...

Stripers and Flounder at The Jersey Shore
Yes, we're still at it, friends! It's just that, well, we're kids you know. We're having too much fun outdoors to always be posting pictures on this website, but occassionally we think of it, so here you go :)

Bigger Fish to Fry?
So we've been missing, I know. Too busy with school and sports, and of course, fishing. But we've been having lots of fun. Striped bass season in the Chesapeake is ending now, and our Uncle Dan got us on the water enough times to enjoy it! (Pictures below). Also, Mom took us to the Fishtown Shadfest last weekend, and although we didn't actually fish there, it was tons of fun, and we met these cool dudes who are starting a Striper Derby this year on the Schuylkill and Delaware Rivers. There will be prizes for the biggest stripers, and also the biggest catfish. That's kind of cool. We can't participate... It interferes with school and baseball, and our upcoming BIG fishing trip to Canada, but I hope some of you will consider it. Registration is still open and it goes from May 1 to June 4. Details here:

Tee Shirt Designs + Check out my cool article!
Ryan and I are working on some tee shirt designs. You might notice that we have a little online tee shirt store (see the link over there on the right), but it's simple stuff and our friends who visit here at http://www.sickfishing.com/ have been asking if we have anything "cool" they can buy - in the way of tee shirts I mean. So we thought we'd make some art and then pick the best ones to have printed and sell on shirts. Rememeber, half of our profits will always go to Cross International, so we feel kind of good about it too, you know. So anyway, here are our ideas so far:
Ok then there's one other thing I want to tell you about, too. My mom helped me write this neat article about this website, and they put it in a magazine. Now that's sick! Check it out:

What's Better than Striper Fishing and Football
It's that time of year again - Fall Striper Fishing and Football right around the corner. I know this isn't fishing related, but I went to the first Eagles Pre-Season game on Friday night and would like to say, I think the Eagles might have a chance this year.
